The briefcase was made for the Duke of Windsor around 1950 from Herm\u00e8s, Paris using leather and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tartan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tartan<\/a>. Above the lock you find the initial\u00a0 &#8220;E&#8221; surrounded by the motto of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Garter_Principal_King_of_Arms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Garter<\/a>\u00a0and overtopped by a crown.
