Volker Kauder who presides over the parliamentary group formed by the party CDU/CSU hands over a watch to the Pope. The brand is called “Erhard Junghans Tempus Automatic”. “Somebody told me that you are fond of enduring clockworks. You wear a watch made by Junghans in the 60s or 70s.” “It used to belong to my sister who left it to me. It was handed over to me when she died.”

The latter is about 10,000 €. Apparantly, Patriatch Kirill, head of the Russian-orthodox church, is fond of even more luxurious items. According to “Stil”, he wears a Breguet Classique “Le réveil du tasr”. The matter of expense here is about 20,000 €.”
